Giving the Gift Of Photography one camera at a time.

Photography is a powerful creative outlet. But the tools of photography are out of reach for so many students and young adults, both at home and in the classroom. That's why I created Fund-A-Photographer; to give schools and individual students the tools they need to discover a love of creativity and photography.
My goal is to put together kits that include; a camera, lens, memory card, bag and photography education. Almost everything a student or young adult needs to start capturing their world. One day I would like to also include a laptop and Adobe Lightroom so our photographers can edit and share their images with the world.
Fund-A-Photographer is a work in progress. 10 years ago I had the logo designed in the hopes that one day I would make it a reality. Well, recently I spoke with my first High School Photography teacher who told me he personaly purchased five camera kits for his class, because the school did not have money in the budget. When he told me that I first got upset (that he used his own money), then I got inspired. I wrote an email to my contact at Canon USA, I told them the story and the idea of Fund-A-Photographer. And a few days later, they kickstarted us with 50 cameras and 50 lenses. Thank You Canon for understanding the mission and being the first to jump on board.
There's a lot of work to be done and a lot of people to inspire with photography. I look forward to sharing the journey with you all.
